If NetZero has the least blatant ads...then this free stuff won't catch on.
While I like NetZero, as something usable for free in emergencies, I find
the ad banner really, really bothersome.  I'm forever moving it around
because it is always hiding a menu item or text/image that you are trying to
read on the internet. As a result I very rarely used NetZero, even though it
was faster than Bellatlantic. Now with cable, I'll only use it when the
cable is out for extensive periods.
