I am attempting to eliminate some duplicate files on my system. Before I do something rash I would appreciate some guidance on what can be, and what cannot be, eliminated safely. I have a couple of examples for references purposes:
C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\SCANREG.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS\SCANREG.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS\EV500.ICM
C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS\EV575.ICM
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\COLOR\EV500.ICM
In each example the files are the same size, same application, same date, and same time. Thanks much for your help on this! Jim Watson
