Jenelle, The extension (wav, kar, mid) indicates how the sound was encoded
into the file. If you change it, you will either get nothing if you try to
play it or an error message. However, there are sound file converters out
on the internet. I have not personally used any of them, but a search
should help you convert these .kar files to something you can play. Even
better is to find a program (shareware is available) to play kar files and
display the words.
