Check the MS Knowledge base, there are several possible causes, but the most
common one I have seen is a NOIDE entry in the registry. Open regedit, do a
search for "noide" and delete the entry if it is there. Usual disclaimers
about backing up the registry apply. The second most common reason I have
seen is a boot sector virus, run a virus protection program to check for
that.
