I'm not sure this will solve this problem but it has helped with other
problems with the font folder.  If you have TweakUI from Microsoft in
your Control Panel, go to the Repair tab and select "Repair Font Folder"
from the drop-down list.  If you do not have it, you can download it
from Microsoft or many other freeware sites.  I don't believe it is on
the Windows 98SE CD.
