Diane,

The way your question is stated, it's really not clear whether you're
looking for the "Mail Recipient" or the "Send To" folder. I assumed it was
the folder as you will not find a "mail recipient" as such in the manner
you're looking for it.

Can you send a page or a link while in Internet Explorer (IE)? I think what
you have is probably a corrupt sendmail.dll. You can replace this file as
outlined below to attempt to correct the problem. On Windows 9x systems,
it's located in the C:\ WINDOWS \ system folder. In Windows XP it's in the
C:\ WINDOWS \ system32 folder.

First, locate the file and move it somewhere out of the system or system32
folder. Windows will replace it. Check the right click menu for the Send To
\ Mail Recipient. If it's there, problem solved. If not there, proceed as
follows.

You'll need a known good copy of the file copied from another system to a
floppy or other removable media. You can also ask someone to send you the
file. Insert the floppy disk in the drive and restart the computer in safe
mode (Windows is very protective of it's files). Then, open Windows Explorer
and open the 3½ floppy drive. Right click the sendmail.dll and select
"Copy". Now, navigate to the folder indicated above for your system and
locate the sendmail.dll file and select it. Next, go to Edit \ Move To
Folder... and move it to My Documents. Once it's moved and while still in
the system or system32 folder, right click a blank area and select "Paste".
If you attempt to copy the file directly to replace the original, or move it
with Windows running normally, it won't work. Windows will replace it with
another version 6 copy.

Close all open windows and restart the computer normally. Check again for
the right click option and see if the "Mail Recipient" option is there. If
everything works as it should, you can delete the copy moved to My
Documents.

If you use IE6 you may be annoyed by how it sends a link. In the subject
line you have "Emailing: www.webpageyou'reon" and what's in the body will
vary depending on the version of IE6 you have. If you replace the IE6
sendmail.dll (52 or 54 KB) with one from IE5.5 (18.2 KB), in the subject
line you will have the name of the Web page you are on and a clickable link
in the body.

Hi Diane,

Right click on the Start button and choose Explore from the context menu.
Scroll up the tree until you reach the Send To folder. If you don't see it,
go to Folder Options and on the View tab select "Show hidden files and
folders" and click "OK". The Send To folder is hidden by default in Windows
XP.
