If you deleted the desktop icon from the Quick Launch toolbar (usually
located
at the left end of the taskbar containing the Show Desktop, Internet
Explorer,
Outlook Express, and Channels icons), right-click on a gray area with no
button
at that end of the taskbar, select Open, and a folder window for the Quick
Launch
toolbar will open. You need to create a new shortcut. Right-click in a
blank area
of the window, click new, click short cut. In the command line box, type
c:\windows\system\showde~1.scf. Click Next, and, in the next dialog box,
click Finish.
This should restore the original Show Desktop button to the Quick Launch
toolbar.
