Greetings fellow listers:
I am running Win98 2nd edition. I recently ran my system
file checker and came up with a list of files which are
supposedly corrupted. When I attempted to restore the files
from a)Win Restoration Disc b)2nd edition disc and c) my
file backup disc......none of the files could be located by
sfc. I'm sure it's something I'm doing or NOT doing
correctly. I have two questions:
How do I extract these files in order to restore them
and...
Are these files listed below necessary?
They are all located in C:/Windows/System
user.exe
setupx.dll
mscat.dll
mssip.dll
mssign.dll
softpub.dll
cryptui.dll
cryptnet.dll
crypttext.dll
msoss.dll
I realize this is a tall order but appreciate any imput.
Thanks in advance.
