Thanks to all who responded to this posting.  The problem has been
solved but the problem actually was different from the one I originally
posed to the List.

I went back and attempted to duplicate the problem.  This time the error
message said yplayer.exe, not player.exe.  I apparently misread the
message that I sent to the List.  I then realized that I had recently
uninstalled Yahoo player.  I reinstalled the Yahoo player and that
corrected the problem.
