Hi, Dottie. I've used AVG for years (with Windows XP) and have never had a problem. My husband must use McAfee due to his work protocol and has complained of some programs not being compatible with it. Other than that, I don't think there is much difference. I use the free version of AVG and it has protected my computer just fine.
