I would see if the camera will make AVI files in NTSC.
If so, you can then edit them with the freeware VirtualDub.
AVI files would be considerably larger and may limit the
length due to the fat16 cluster size on "most" smaller media cards.
The good news is that they would be stored originally as
a loss-less version that is better to edit...
