Again, see post to "Saving O.E. messages" about Express Assist. This marvelous software is great for a lot of problems. I'm surprised more people don't know about it. --AnnaSummers

I have recovered emails from a corrupt dbx file by using the 'OE Mail
Recovery' program.

Hi Michael,

My answer is not good news, sorry.
When you lose emails because of data loss, either because of a corrupt
dbx file,
crash or other reasons, you cannot recover individual email messages.
Email data is stored (for OE) in dbx files, like Inbox.dbx,Sent.dbx etc.
Especially when the dbx file has not been compacted.
Even so,this data does not show up as individual files.
I've been this route before and none of the data recovery programs could
find lost email.
I also had a lengthy exchange with a professional data recovery company
which confirmed this.Occasionaly small fragments may be recovered, but
hardly ever
a full email message. If the whole dbx file was lost, you may have a
chance-no guarantees.

To satisfy your curiosity you may try one of the numerous freeware or
shareware
file recovery programs.
UndeletePlus http://undelete-plus.com/
However there are many more.A Google search for File recovery or
undelete etc
will give you numerous entries.

To avoid this, try to save your email outside of OE.
You may want to check my previous post regarding this.
