Hi Michael,

The reason might be that if you include anything that resembles a smiley , like a colon : and bracket )
or other combinations that would form a smiley of some sort, the posting will be rejected,
as if containing an image/gif.
Other things might be a signature gif or anything that is added to your post by Outlook itself.
Send an email from Outlook to yourself and see if you can detect what was added.

Peter E.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Alias Problem

I'm sending this from my Outlook Express v.6 e-mail application. It seems as though anything I send to PCSoft or PCBuild aliases is getting rejected for the following reason (rejection message follows):

Your posting to the PCSOFT list has been rejected because it contains an
attachment of type 'IMAGE/GIF'. The PCSOFT list has been configured to reject
such attachments. Please contact the list owner at
[log in to unmask] for more information.

I sent my requests from Outlook 2003 just like I'm sending this one from OE v6. Not sure why the messages to your aliases are being thought of as attachments.
