A friend and I had some problems with Winzip several months ago. If he sent me
a file through his ISP and I received it through AOL Winzip wouldn't accept it
as a valid archive. I openned the file using PKUnzip and was told that an EOF
character was missing-- Use PKZipFix. Zipfix worked fine and we found that
when he didn't close the archive, after zipping, by using File/CloseArchive
(he just closed the window) the EOF marker was not added.
He started using File/Close Archive and our problems went away. Just something
to keep in mind if that problem comes up.
