Loy,

When you customize a toolbar, the data is stored in NORMAL.DOT.
Have you tried deleting your NORMAL.DOT file?  It is located in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates (or whatever path you created)

Word will create a fresh copy of the normal template when you restart it
You will loose all customizations (and hopefully any oddities).
