You might try going to the Adaptec web site,
http://www.adaptec.com/support/advisor/cdrupdates/dcdwinversions.html, to
get the latest software. My installation CD came with version 3.0 of
Adaptec Direct CD. Just installed it a week ago and it works fine with
Win98 SE.
