Hi Martha,

I think what you are encountering is a limitation of the PowerPoint Viewer.
In Outlook Express, and possibly other e-mail programs, a version of
PowerPoint needs to be installed in order to open a PowerPoint attachment.

Subject: MS PowerPoint Viewer 2003

I have MicroSoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2003. I have always been able to
click on a PPS file and it would promptly open. The past few months, when
clicking to open a file, the following message is displayed. "This file
does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.
Create an association in the folder options control panel".

I have found that if I first save the file it can be opened. Would like to
know how to read the files without saving them. Thank you.
