In Louisiana, you not only have close to $100 to install a second line, you
also pay a monthly fee of around $32 so it is not cheap. I had a second
phone line installed. I enjoy it because once I get connected I can just
stay there without having to sign on and off so there are some definitely
advantages to having a second phone line, but they are not cheap versus a
$2.95/$3.95 a month for CallWave and a $1 charge on your phone bill.

>If they get out of hand, consider installing a
second telephone line dedicated to the computer. Other than the
installation charges, this can be pretty cheap because you don't need
any extra services, not even long distance -- just POTS.
