Windows 2000 Professional, MS Office XP (Outlook)

When Outlook Icon is selected, Login screen appears with ID
filled in but password blank. If password is typed in and
"save password" selected, email is accessed OK, however,
when Outlook is opened at a later date, the password was not
saved and must be typed in again to access email.  Any
suggestions to try to fix this problem.
