Win95 is designed to always fail during install if m/b anti-virus turned on.
Disable this feature And try installing again.

I seem to have a virus in the boot section of my harddrive.
The motherboard is an Asus P2B and the os is Windows 95
4.00. I have Command line functionality but normal mode
Windows 95 freezes. Safe Mode runs. I tried to reinstall
Win 95 but the m/b boot virus detection stops the process.
