By "download" I assume you mean you tried to install the software. I have
experienced the type of problem you report. It was caused by a defective CD.
If this is the case, your only solution is to get the bad CD replaced.

I bought the new 2008 Streets & Trips at Costco.  When I tried to download,
everything went well to a point - it even deleted my 2005 one and yet 75% of
the way through I got this:

Error 1722 - There is a problem with this Windows Installer Pkg.  A program
run as part of the set up did not finish as expected.  Contact your support
personnel or package vendor.  

I tried to start at the beginning again and the same thing happened.  Can
you help.  We are travelling in our motorhome and I don't know anyone in our
locale.
