If the error is produced by Symantec CrashGuard, I would completely
disable it (it really doesn't work that good anyway). If you are unable to
disable it, uninstall Norton Utilities-then reinstall it and select Custom
Install. There you can de-select CrashGuard from being installed on your
hard drive. Hopefully, after you finish, IE will work. Might also suggest
calling Symantec Technical Support if what I suggested doesn't work. Keep
us informed of your progress.
