My question
>I guess is how can I get my address book back without manually
reentering
>everything?

I don't know if this is of use, but:

The only email program I use is OutlookExpress
and the only AddressBook I use is the one
that I access through that program.

When I went to back it up, though,
through Windows Explorer,
I found that AddressBook did NOT appear under:
ProgramFiles/OutlookExpress/<myname>/etc.

Instead I found that it is called USERMPS.WAB
and it is found on my OEM machine at:

Windows/ApplicationData/Microsoft/AddressBook
