Welcome!!

If you go to www.google.com, you can type in an item and Google will return
a list of places on the web where that item appears.

For example, if you type in "Russian Revolution" (with the quotes), it will
likely return a very long list of web sites with references to the Russian
Revolution.

Google is truly amazing. You should try it.

There are other search engines such as Alta Vista, Yahoo, etc.

Google is nice because you do not get a lot of pop-up ads and other junk.
It is very good for returning relevant information.

You can read the instructions on how to refine the search, so that you get
references to sites that are closer to what you are looking for.

Subject: [PCSOFT] What's a 'Google Search'?

Having just recently joined your discussions, I have noticed you all speak
of a google search...but I don't know what that is. I'm sorry :-)...one
more time, please. Becky
