Acrobat Distiller is program what does the job creating pdf
from Postscript files. Its output quality is better, You have
more options and You can use .eps images in Your
documents.
Why Distiller hangs is probably that it said that it must be
configured first time in standalone mode. (but I can't
remember that I need that with my AA6 Standard). See
