Hi John.
I am sure there are importing solutions using a sound card linbe-in, but I
have also seen USB turntables for just this purpose. Presumeably it
digitaizes it in the turntable and sends the data via USB. I don't think
they were too expensive.
I have never tried one, but if they work, it sounds pretty easy.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Input Audio from vinyl recording
I have a computer with XP service pack II and one with Vista business and
can use either one. I have some 33 1/3rpm recordings on vinyl platters and
wish to import a copy to my hard drive. I previously used MusicMatch Plus
but had a HDD failure and lost it and it is no longer available. Does
anyone know of a program that will import using "line-in" (from a turntable
and an amplifier) and convert it to MP3, or another digital format? Thank
you. John
