Hello Cheryl,

You can add as many icons to the Quick Launch bar as you like. When there
are more than there is space to show them, you will see a double arrow ">>"
on the right most edge. Clicking the double arrows will reveal the remaining
icons in a vertical window.

You can also change the Taskbar to show more of the Quick Launch bar. By
right clicking a blank space on the Taskbar you will see several options
including "Properties" where you have more options. Unlock the Taskbar and
you can adjust the width of the various sections by dragging the double line
of vertical 'dots' left or right. Increasing the height will give you more
space too. I have mine double the standard height and the entire bottom half
is my Quick Launch bar. This also increases the space for the System Tray
icons and shows the clocks day, date, and time. By using the Auto-hide
feature (Taskbar "Properties") the entire Taskbar stays hidden until you
need it. When you need it, simply move the mouse to the bottom of the screen
and it pops up for your use.

A word of caution when placing icons on the Quick Launch bar. Make it a
practice to use a right (click) drag to where you want it and when you
release the drag, a menu will pop up with your options. Choose "Copy Here"
unless you actually want to move the icon / item from it's original
location. Windows default action for left (click) dragging an item from one
location to another on the same drive is to 'move' it to the new location.

Subject: [PCSOFT] How to add more than 3 icons to Quick Launch Bar

The recent question asking how to add an icon reminded me I've wanted to ask
how can I get more than three icons to show on the Quick Launch Bar? My boss
has about six icons showing. I have HP Pavilion XT 963 has XP Home with SP2
I also have the Student Office Suite.

Thank-you for your help.

God Bless,
