Hello readers,

My system is currently running Windows 2000 SP3 with Office XP SP 2.
Lately I notice that I'm unable to provoke the Office Suite applications
by clicking on the appropriate files MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access etc,
etc. To work around I always have to execute the application first then
open the appropriate file from within the application. I've tried
un-installing Office Suite through the Add/Remove Programs wizard and
Installing over the existing Office Suite program. In each situation I
receive the following error message "Unable to Access the Windows
Installer..." Is there anyway to resolve this problem without doing a
Format and Reinstall. Thanks in advance.

Terrence
