I didn't mean that it eliminates Outlook Express, it integrates
it. It does use the newsreader portion but it eliminates everything
else. In fact, while I was downloading the setup program announced it
was downloading the Outlook elimination file as one of the files it was
getting. When I set up Outlook 98 it asked me if I wanted to have it be
my default newsreader. When I said yes, it ran a setup program, and
eliminated my Outlook Express icon from the desktop.

I share your enthusiasm, Dale, but Outlook 98 does NOT have an
independent news
capability -- it uses Outlook Express for that.  No one should remove OE
from
their systems, even though they may no longer use it for mail.
