The network is now working fine. I followed Bill Cohane's suggestion to just
use the TCP/IP protocol. Yes, File Sharing is enabled, even though I didn't
list it(Missed it completely) Each machine had an IP set, with 255.255.255.0 as
the subnet.

Now I can browse the Network with no problems from either machine.
