To all listers:
I am running NT4 recently upgraded to SP4 (128-bit version). I installed
also the MS Data Access Components version 2 Service Pack 1, SCM (SP4
Security Configuration
Manager) and the latest security hot-fix post SP4. This is my home PC and
it's a standalone. I use IE3.02 as my e-mail program.
FIRST PROBLEM:
Ever since upgrading to SP4 I can no longer open e-mail attachments: that
is to say when I double-click the paper clip on the left side of an e-mail
message there is no response. What am I missing?
SECOND PROBLEM
Even though the Inbox messages are deleted once read and the Sent Items and
the Outbox folders are kept empty, the size of the following files keeps
increasing which indicates that there is something wrong:
Inbox=3,260kb Inbox.mbx=84,438kb Outbox.mbx=59,594kb
Sent items.mbx=61,561kb
Can I safely delete these files without creating an even greater mess?
Any suggestions that might help solve these 2 issues would be greatly
appreciated.
