I'm guessing you're still running Win98SE, and low resources in 98/98SE is
an ongoing problem. Fred Langa in a recent LangaList (and of course, I
highly recommend subscribing to LangaList Plus :-), reviewed this problem.
See:

http://www.langa.com/newsletters/2003/2003-01-20.htm

(scroll down, or just enter "resources" and find on this page). There's a
link to some old articles on "trying" to address this. But, I'm still
running 98SE at home and if I'm running Outlook, Norton, ZoneAlarm Pro, and
open IE 6, resources get lower and lower and lower. End up about once a day
restarting. Of course, this is never a problem with my office XP machine.
I use AnalogX's free MaxMem (www.analogx.com), but while this may help
defrag RAM, nothing that I know of will ever address the memory leaks
associated with certain programs. We know that you can always check your
TSR programs to see if some can be eliminated and free resources (and I like
PCForrest's StartMan but msconfig will work).

If anybody ever finds a solutions to this, other than upgrading to Win2K or
XP, they'd probably get rich fast :-)

Ed
