Hello there,

My computer is a Gateway 500Mhz, 128 RAM, 32 Vid RAm, 13.6Gig IBM
hard drive running Win98 Second edition.
I want to stop Windows Audio CD Player from starting when I put in a
Audio CD so WinAmp can start to play it right away. I have set
WinAmp.exe as CDaudio file player in My Computer/View/Folder
Options/File Types/AudioCD/Edit/PLAY/Edit/Application Used to
Perform Action-set to Path-winAmp.exe.

But still Win Audio player start on audio Cd startup/insertion.
I have a very useful program installed uner Control Panel-Called
Gateway Multifunction Keyboard in which its Play (Start, Stop etc)
buttons are unchangeably assigned to Windows CD Player.

This may be the problem but I can't see how to change it.
Also WinAmp/Preferences is set to play Audio CD's on startup.

Does anyone wiser than myself have any helpful suggestions?

Thanks for your time and good luck in your work,

Richard D. Smith
