Diane,

Here a few you things about upgrades that I have learns ed.

They never work right. It is better to save your data and to do a clean installation of the software, because if you had any problem (even a very small one) it just gets worst (and I mean worst) after the upgrade. By wiping the system clean you eliminate any old problems. You should also make sure that you have all the latest drivers.

I can honestly say I was not happy when I upgraded to WIN ME, but after I wipe my system and do a clean installation I have not have many and I have been able to fix or correct the ones that I get.

At the same time I would like to make you aware (just incase you do not know) that Microsoft has drop all support on WIN98 and that means that if there is a hack or a security hole you will not get any fix and will be expose to it.

As I said before my best advice is to wipe the system clean and do a clean install or (which is better) upgrade to windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Good luck

Victor
