Nicolas, I'm using ICS with no problems.  On the client, check the internet
options (Tools Menus).  On the Connections tab, select "Never dial a connection"
click on "Lan Settings" (a box on the Connections Tab), and select
"Automatically Detect Settings".  If you have these, and no else can offer any
help, I can check the settings on my host, but I have not messed with it since I
originally set the network up oh so long ago.  (I'm using a hub, not a cross
over cable, but I do not think that matters.)
