Error reporting also gives a memory dump to MS of
whatever personal or sensitive documents you may
have been working on at the time of the crash.
While in the past (at least) you could always READ
what you were sending, it is not easy to read in the
sort of Hex/text types of display that the info is sent in.
Since I never cared about what I was sending -- I always
did. I never heard a word back though -- (a simple "we
have a patch" type message was all I expected...)
I thought that was part of the process, so they must
have never fixed those problems...)
Anyway, the point is that there are security, confidentiality,
and/or privacy issues.
While I would like all software I use to work properly,
there are limits I will go to to see that happen.
