For someone experimenting with .zip proggies, I'd have to say that WINZIP is
definately the way to go. I've been using PKZIP for a long time and am
familiar with all the command line switches, but with the new GUI
version...everyone can enjoy PKZIP.
Too bad there isn't a standard for compression programs. Here a .zip, there
an .arj, and over here a .rar.
As far as functionality in spanning disks and compressing archives, WINRAR is
hard to beat.
The bottom line is that I guess it's all a matter of personal preference.
