I don't have Excel 95, but the solution should be similar as follows.

1. Select the cells in the sheet that you want to allow to be updated.
2. From the Format menu select Cells/Click the protection tab, and uncheck
the Locked Option.
3. From the tools Menu, Select Protection, and select protect Sheet.

Only the cells that you have previously marked as Unlocked can be edited,
all other cells in the sheet will be unavailable fir editing, so this should
resolve both of your issues.

Good day.

1)
I want to protect selected colomns and lines (not whole sheet) from writing
over that field. as for exemple Protecting Colomns A, B and C (whole
colomns) then the lines A59 to BB63 then at regular interval of lines A89 to
BB93, then A119 to BB123 etc...

2)
Also, while freezing a zone in sheet, that portion remain visiable all the
way but someone may modify the contents.

I wish to change such freezed portion in read only attribute.
