You can't delete Internet Explorer, it's part of Windows. Just use Firefox as your default and ignore Explore.

Hey, I have installed Mozilla Firefox & that seems to work fine. I've
gotten to websites with it so far. Should I then delete Explorer
completely?
My home page is from my ISP provider. No problems with my provider with
dial up.
You all have been a tremendous source of information. I can't thank you all
enough & your have saved me many bucks. I don't think I'm going into
another system until I am more sure of myself.
Waiting for Vista seems to be a good idea some time at the end of the year.
