I recently reinstalled Windows ME, and have been unable to reset Display
Properties the way I had them.  I would like to go back to 256 colors
(which I had, but have forgotten how I did it!).

I go to Display Properties on the Control Panel, then to Settings, then
Colors, change to 256, hit Apply, Restart--and I am back to 16 colors.

Would someone please refresh my memory.  TIA
