I said it before, I'll say that again. Nothing is better than DOS 6.2
installation combined with MemMaker to get the top memory. 620k is
possible.

But check your own Windows first... I have a "loaded" Win98, but still
when I go to DOS and type MEM, it displays 597k (611,000 b) free. This
is enough for 90% of old games -- and if it isn't, I have an optimized
DOS 6.22 boot diskette... It tops out at 612k. The biggest one I saw
was with Quarterdeck's QEMM on DOS 6.22 - 632k (!)

Don't load unnecessary drives. For old games, drop the CD-ROM and save
some 10k. If the game doesn't use mouse, drop the driver and save
another 5k. It really makes the difference.
