I believe that when MSIE 5 came out, under custom install options there was
a selection to keep MSIE 4 and also have MSIE5 in a "make compatible"
type of installation...  (I do not know which was made compatible...)
I never felt that brave, and never tried it.  If I remember correctly, it caused all
sorts of upgrading and patching issues.
Given the MS track record in this area, (in general), I felt one was enough,
at least on the same computer...
When I wanted two versions, the easiest way was to use two computers...

By the way,  that is also "muti-tasking" in the purest form...
