You might try this:  While in Word, click on the Tools menu option, choose
Options.  Click on the Save tab and uncheck Prompt To Save Normal Template.

I have Windows Me on a new Dell computer 128RAM,800 MHz,40MB hard drive.
Word 2000 keeps issuing an error message: changes have been made to the
Normal.dot, do you want to save changes? How can I eliminate this? It will
