Dear Sir:

Double clicking "Web Addresses"which is a list of addresses in word or "Card and Board Game" games downloaded from a disc [two icons on my Desktop] produces a menu that has no open just:

send, cut, copy, create short cut, delete, rename & properties.

But when I try to "delete or rename" it tells me I cannot. "Access is denied. Make sure disc is not full or write protected & that the file is not currently in use" It's not a disc but a file.????

When I try to open another file I get a menu that says: "Microsoft Word cannot open document: user does not have access privileges.

(C:\....\Select Folder for Sharing from..).

Only these three icons on desktop are causing trouble.

I did download one small section of the board game that I had missed just before this all occurred. I tried to restore but no change.

I'm using Win XP.How do I get rid of the useless, unopenable files? Carla Moore
