Hello Wayne,

In Outlook Express, go to View \ Current View and insure "Show All Messages"
is selected (has a black dot by it). If not, click it and recheck your
messages.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Lost e-mails

For several months I have been having this problem on my Gateway desktop
running XP Home and MS Outlook Express 6.0. I don't have the same problem on
my laptop.

When I have opened an e-mail message and leave it in my inbox, after my
computer shuts down and restarts, the viewed message is gone. It does not
show up in the deleted box. In the options, the "Mark messages read after
displaying" is not checked. I can't find anything else that would cause
this.

I can go to my server's WebMail and retrieve it, but I have finally given up
on curing this myself. Do you have any ideas?

Wayne Donohue
