DriverGuide (www.driverguide.com) is a wealth of information. I did a
search for dfs.vxd and found:

See if you can download it and place in the Windows\system folder. You may
have to register, but it's free. Unfortunately, on my home Win98SE system,
this has happened on a number of occasions following installing,
uninstalling, etc., of programs.
