I got a new Sony W7 digital camera and took some short videos with it. My
video editing software is Pinnacle Studio 9. When I tried to open the MPG
file with Pinnacle, it complained that the software was not enabled for PAL.
I am a bit confused as to MPG format - the files run fine using my media
player. Are MPG files encoded for NTSC or PAL? How to convert one to the
other? I am starting to think that Pinnacle was not a good choice for video
editing since I have run into a number of problems with it so far. Other
recommendations? Freeware is always good, but shareware and commercial is
also ok to consider.
