I found a neat (and free) little suite of programs that has exactly
what you want. You have to download the whole suite of them in a
zipped file (only 281 KB), but then you can choose which ones you
want to run.
The applicable one is Copy and Trim, and You paste the offending text
in, and it removes all the return characters, then lets you recopy it
to your clipboard to paste into whatever text/word processor program
you're using.

The other good thing about this set of programs is that none of them
require installation, you just unzip them and run them. Deletion is
as simple as "recycling" the folder and/or program. However, I put a
shortcut to copy and trim on my desktop, since I use it so often.
