Hi Regina,
There is no need to change accounting programs. What you want is to
install a pdf creator such as Adobe Acrobat. I am not talking about the
free reader, but rather the actual authoring program (this may cost a
few $$). What this does is install a virtual printer driver. While Adobe
Acrobat knows how to create links directly into certain programs like
Microsoft Office, for other programs, all it needs is the ability to
print. When you have the report in QuickBooks you want to print, instead
of selecting your actual printer in the print dialog, select the Adobe
PDF printer. When you print, it will pop up a dialog box asking you for
the path and file name to save the pdf. Once it is done, you now have
the pdf file which is an exact replica of how it would have been printed
on the printer.
I am sure there are other shareware or maybe freeware programs
available, but I have no experience with them so I can't say how good
they are.
