Actually, the "right" way to do this is with a mail server and
client that both speak IMAP; the mailbox lives on the server, and any
IMAP client from any machine sees the same mailbox there.
Outlook, it turns out, can be configured to use IMAP rather than
POP. So if the email server supports IMAP, it's pretty easy to make
this work.
